Russ, I had a very similar probelm once, caused by a brand new fuel pump
relay. Juste couse its new does't mean its good. Try jumping your relay
with a wire with a switch in it. Once the car dies, hit the switch, jump
the relay bypassing it, if the car fires right up you know what the problem
was.
