You mean just the CV joint right? Funny you ask since I started doing this
last night on my 88 80q (drivers side outer).
Yes you can. I got a pretty decent CV joint from Chris at Froce5 Auto.
I've taken the old joint off. Cleaned the new (used) one with de-greaser,
packed it with grease and have the joint back on the drive shaft.
I did not need to take the shaft off the car. I was able to do the whole
procedure while the shaft was on the car.
Anyway, I'm not done yet since I messed up the small tightening ring. I'll
be visiting the local parts and Audi/VW stores to find this thing.

Subject: A80/90 Propeller Shaft CV-joint
Folks,
is it possible to replace just the the Propeller Shaft CV-joint on those
cars? I think it is made by Lobro and I vaguely recall somebody posting
the info on that. Does anyone have the p/n and the source?
Thanks in advance.
