At first I thought you were talking about timing of the fuel injectors, but=
upon further reading I think you're talking about ignition timing. Later s=
park is easier on the starter and will warm up the cat faster.
I've recently read that for Bosch Fuel Injection, if you are in a coldenvir=
onment (winter in the north) that the closer to TDC your timing is thebette=
r cold starting you will get. Like in the 4kq with 6 degrees BTDC itsrecomm=
ended to back that down to 3 BTDC or even 0. Its also stated that ifyou are=
timed way BTDC (10-20 degrees) you can experience kick back and ruinthe st=
arter. I am in winter temps of -10 to +15 all winter and my car isoutside 2=
4-7. What is everyones take on this?
