There is no thermo-time switch on the type 44 CIS turbos.  The cold start
valve on these cars is ECU-activated and the ECU gets its coolant
temp info via a coolant temp sender.  I believe it's screwed into
the engine, near the top radiator hose flange, or possibly on the back
of the engine.  It is grounded through the engine, and only has a
single wire attached to it.
