You lost control of the airflap potentiometer and it's buried somewhere deep in
the dash. More than likely, the damned thing just needs to be cleaned, but
getting to it is an absolute bitch.
Essentially, you have to remove the center console and the CC head (I think) to
gain access to it. It went on my old '92 100CS, but I never had it repaired, I
decided to total the car instead. :(
