Have you checked that the hall sensor is timed correctly with respect
to the TDC mark on the flywheel? The Bently has the procedure, but
basically it involves setting the engine to TDC with the cam mark level
with the top of the valve cover gasket, and setting the distributor so
the rotor points towards a line marked in the distributor body. Or at
least that's the way I remember it. Best to look it up.
