On the right hand side of the car, at and under the base of the windshield,
accessible from the engine compartment. You need to lift up the black
plastic shield and rubber gasket that seals off that part of the car from
the engine compartment. Don't be intimidated by it. It simply pulls up.
Shop around. Audi charges over $40 for the filter. Maybe your FLAPS has
it. My local Autozone didn't have it in stock, but they could order it, and
get it to me the next day for $22.
You might want to search around for ways to rid cars of the cigarette smoke
smell. I've read that there are various techniques that do work.
