I have a heavily modified 86 GT - the question is, what is the car going to be worth in 10, 20 or 30 years if you keep it pristine, and would you be able to? The answer to your question is what the car is worth to you. Now, with the numbers you're talking, you could get a second for a little more and put the rear discs in...why not do that?
