Would you convert a rare CGT (an 87.5) to 10VT?

afford it, or even if i want it (messing with a rare 87.5 is not cool IMHO, but i
want more power...). Anyway, thought I'd ask for opinions...

If it is something I've been wanting to do (and not just
because the opportunity arose and it seemed like a good
idea at the time), I'd do some shopping. This guy has an
engine he wants to sell. $1800 seems like a lot. Listers have
bought whole cars for less; you should be able to get the
engine and bits for less. Check with junk yards, recylcers,
and listers and look for a 10VT that has been hit.

It always pays to sleep on a big decision.
