[LAC] Rally history facts?

Luke,

I heard from the Malcolm Wilson, himself, the guy who builds the Ford WRC's
cars, that today's times are faster than the Group B.

The presented reasons are that Group B cars had more power, but could not
transfer it to the ground as good as today's WRC cars and other benefits of
new technologies.

An example is the hydraulic shifting. The times from Grunholm without the
paddle shift were almost a second per mile slower in a stage in Australia.

I think that you can dig the times and compare, if you are settling some $$$,
otherwise let the other guy come up with the times.

However, there will be some stage times faster with the group B cars, when
turns were not important, like in the Safari rally, where some stages go miles
and miles without a significant turns. ("next intruction 4 miles...").
