Headlights

Thanks for all of the responses. I am going to go with the Cibie e-codes in
the stock mounts. If my trips to VT become annoying because I'm always
pulling over to clean the snow out of the lights, those plastic frames are a
perfect place to add some headlight sprayers ;). Funny thing is, with the
original headlights, I would never notice a significant decrease in light
output when driving in snow. 50% of 0 = 0.

Thanks,

Tim

I have a 1987 5ktq that had stock aero DOT headlights. They were miserable.
I bought a set of used quad headlight mounts from a 1985 5ktq, ands fitted
them with E-code lamps powered through relays, and heavier
wiring. Incredible difference, for under $500. Required getting a
different grill, used. You wouldn't need the grill or the mounts....you
already have them.

You should be able to just fit the E-code lamps into your stock quad
mounts, like you are asking about. You would do well to relay them.

http://lighting.mbz.org/ is a source. I used it.
