Would you convert a rare CGT (an 87.5) to 10VT?

Agreed on the paying customer and AC aspect, I don't give a $hit about AC
as we barely get more than 25 degrees C in Belgium during summer. :-)

And I won't be opening a shop offering conversions to paying customers
anytime soon, of course I'll do some as you do but nothing really
professional anyway, and your point about 2B doing this professionally with
functioning AC is true, I must admit they are the only ones in the business
to offer this, and as long as there's demand but only their offer, the
price will be what it is! However, I think that if some of us really
tech-geeks on the list would get together to make a real business in order
to offer such conversions, costs could be a lot lower than $12k and it
would also include a reasonable profit for those who'd do it but I guess
dreaming is always an option :-)
