Hello all,

Just my $0.02, but I say oh hell ya, go for it. While, yes, the 87.5 is
the rarer model CGT, but it's still only worth top $$$ amongst Audi nuts
like ourselves. And any Audi driver worth his salt would definitely
appreciate a well done 10V turbo conversion. If you sold it ever to a
fellow lister or such, I would dare say that they would probably pay you
more than a stock one (even with the 2.3 motor the 87.5 have). And that
is just the monetary consideration!

As the owner of an 84 CGT turbo conversion, I can emphatically say that
it was the best $$$ I ever spent! With the chip/spring mod and an
exhaust, my car makes a dyno proven 178hp at the wheels "approx
210-220hp at the crank" (compared to the 110hp from the factory, or
130hp in your case), believe me it really makes the CGT a monster
performer! I do recommend a limited slip diff (I got the Quaife in mine)
to at least make it half a quattro. :- ) Otherwise expect massive
torque steer when you first take it out for a drive.

DO IT! Have a blast!
