Go to hot rod shop, buy an "oxygen sensor bung".  drill 1" hole in
downpipe or next section, weld bung in place.

Get a high flow cat (on line, $50-70 or so), and weld it in.

Or, use your stock cat and new stainless steel hardware.  No more bolt
cutting...
