CGT stalling when cold, I'm baffled

I have a very weird problem with my Coupe GT (KV engine, 1985-spec,
CIS but no O2-sensor). On cold or wet days, it starts just fine with
a flick of the key. Idles perfectly for about one or two minutes,
then suddenly idling speed drops to about 200, where it keeps
seesawing. Also, it seems to lack power and misfires under load when
cold.
Cleaned the ISV. Changed it for another from the big box o' spares.
Cleaned the injectors, checked the cold start injector. It's got new
spark plugs, brand new plug wires+distributor+distributor cap.
Checked the fuel pump and cleaned all contacts to sensors and relays
around the engine.
To get the picture: I pour all my money into this car to keep it in
perfect condition, so it's not a problem of bad maintenance. I'm
baffled! It doesn't always show this behaviour, more like every three
or four days. After a couple of restarts, the problem is gone. I
suspect two things: the warm-up regulator or a bad ground connection
somewhere. Anyone? Please please pretty please?
