Choosing a Wiring Harness for ur-q

Huw,
Main reason I'm not doing this is because most of the car
isn't stock anyhow, I have an Aluminum Dashboard with VDO
gauges, I'm using a SAAB Steering Control cluster (wipers,
lights, etc) Lights will be turned on with Marine Grade Toggle
switches, etc. The only factory connectors on the car are for
the rear Tail-lights and the heater/blower motor. Oh, and the
Windshield wipers. So going custom makes sense. Much better
made, etc.
Is there any chance I can get new factory Audi connectors to
splice this new harness into the blower motor, rear taillights,
etc just like factory. IE...remove the old wires, keep the
plasic bits and get new crimp on terminals to insert back in
that will fit perfectly?
For what its worth , on my other UR-q, the street car I will
be doing the 87' harness as you suggest. :-)
Any tips or thoughts on the harnesses that I posted though?
  THanks
     Todd
PS: HOw's life, long time no talk.
