Engine stalling at about 1800 rpm.

Something is freezing or thickening in the fuel filter
at these low temperatures? Enough flow is possible for
low loads, but blocking higher flows necessary for
higher loads.

This is my guess, and it is based on direct
experience, however with a Toyota.
