Help! Passenger side Mirror

Wife got a little too close to the garage and brushed the passenger side mi=
rrow against the house.  Did not break the mirrow but broke something insid=
e the auto mechanism.  When I moved the mirror around a two inch  metal pie=
ce came out the bottom. I know it's busted the question is how to fix.  Not=
 sure if there are replaceable parts inside the mirror housing or how hard =
it is to mess with the mirrow mechanism.

A little help will be appreciated.

PS  Amazing that faced with a dent on the side of the garage, a scratch on =
the passeger side mirror housing and a broken mirror mechanism - wife still=
s says she has no clue how it got broken!
