Hi,
Thanks to all who responded. Your suggestions were good. I failed to say
that my MIL is getting a little fragile, she is a WWII refugee from
Czechoslovakia, and I haven't ridden in a car with her driving in years,
maybe never.
Having said the above, a car that has had periodic maintenance done at an
Audi dealer, in this case Heishman, for the past 5 years or so, ought to be
able to pass the Virginia State Inspection or something is amiss.
More than that, she, nor anyone, needs to have the wrenches try to coerce
her into giving up her car for the cost of repairs, only to be forced to buy
another one.
I'm 2,800 miles away and don't know the facts. I would handle it if I were
there. What she needs is a knowledgeable advocate that will contact
Heishman or the new Audi dealer's managers and get the matter straightened
away.
TIA.
Cheers!
Jim Jordan
