I've yet to see any of the green coolant's for sale that aren't rated as
"safe for aluminum engines". Green, blue etc. "normal" coolant (color
doesn't really matter, coolant can be colored to the customers spec.) is
basically ethylene and diethylene glycol and water. All
coolant/anti-freeze on the retail market exceeds or meets ASTM and SAE
standards.
I run Prestone at a 50/50 mix in all my Audi's (5), never a problem.
Always on sale somewhere.
Only compatibility issue that one should be VERY careful of is
compatibility between the various coolants. IF you're not sure of what's
in there (like when it's black/brown) a complete flush is in order before
putting in the coolant of your choice.
