starter rebuild-need more help

So, I separated my type 44 starter. Just removed the two bolts and
pulled apart. Was pretty grungy and rusty inside. Brushed look good
60% left, maybe 75. Planetary was shot. The ring gear is plastic and
was torn to shreds.

Problem- everything came apart, but the nose end of it is stuck on
the solenoid fork. How do I get this part off? The armature on the
back part cam right off. Next, the two phillips screws on the
solenoid back would not budge. Drill 'em?
