Speaker wiring

As was (kind of) mentioned, my 4kq is quickly becoming a beater, but it
is going to have good speakers. If anybody is interested, I am running
a Jensen CDH-1000 (temporary, Nakimichi coming eventually) through a
single Crunch 4x175 watt amp (temp?). Speakers are MB Quart all 'round
with 4" in the original front holes (that was fun) and 7" in the backs
(also fun)... I will be posting pix on my site soon. I'm using 8 gauge
Monster wires for the speakers, but this amp is gonna take 2 gauge rope
to provide adequate, reliable power and leave space for more amps in
the future.

But I digress... my question to all you audio DIYers is:
a) where do I put this beast of an amp? Is there anywhere other than
the trunk that has enough ventilation?
b) where should I hook it up? go through a spare fuse or straight to
the battery? and how is the easiest way to send a wire through the
firewall and trunk area?
any other advice would be greatly appreciated!
