While I wholeheartedly agree with you, over the years I've found that some people are overwhelmed by the complexity of a turbo swap (not that bad, addmitedly, but more so than NA mods), and would like to tinker and get the most out of the NA motor...that's fine, I've learned to stop fighting it, and since I got my start massaging NA VW and Audi motors, I'm happy to pass on some info.. so, lets continue.

R Mangas (what's with people not giving their names these days anyway??), if in the US, the preferred bottom end to use is either the NG or NF, virtually identical and provide the resultant 10:1 compression ratio.  The bolt up no problem to any of the hydraulic 2v heads, torque is noticeably stronger as is throttle response.
