well, a bit of good news, and removing the *&$*#! o2 sensor

so, i bought a compression tester (figured, might as well), and
tested the compression on the MC'd urq... 120-122psi in all 5
cylinders... in addition, i leaned out the mixture, and the
frequency valve started working again at idle... after i did that, no
more plumes of smoke... so it really was running THAT rich... the
question remains, though, why no power?
so, along w/ the other misc things that i got from tpc, i also got
one of the universal o2 sensors... so, i figured that i should try
to install it this afternoon... i have tried once before to loosen
the sensor on my car, but didnt really try too hard, so i never
thought much about it...
well, i broke one o2 socket, bought another, broke it. tried putting
a hose clamp around the bottom of it to keep it from spreading out,
and it just kept turning... so, i got out the 22mm box end wrench i
have, tried w/ that (not too much access in the urq to do this... but
enough to give me enough movement to be able to at least break it
loose), no luck. used a 3 foot pole to add more torque... and
NOTHING, didnt budge...
i sprayed it with a bunch of penetrating oil and am gonna let it sit
overnight...but ARGH... i think it was instlaled with an impact
wrench when the MC engine was put in...
anyway, any tips on getting the oxygen sensor out?
