[urq] urq fuel pump interchange

Although it looked like the 4kq one would work just fine, I upgraded to
one from an NG for a little higher flow. They have been working fine
on the UrQ and 4kqs I have fit them on. I ordered the pump for an 87.5
GT coupe. The UrQ is an '83, so don't know if later years were
different, but I should think the pump would work fine for an MC
application, as that is what I intend to do.
You will need an adaptor to go from 3/8" id to 1/2" id hose. Actually
the hose inner diameters were more like just under 1/2" and the NG pump
just under 5/8". Test fit first.
I got one from Northside Imports for around $160.

Subject: [urq] urq fuel pump interchange
Hi All,
If you've been following my fuel starvation saga on my 83 urq, you know
that
it's time for me to price fuel pumps
Called my parts guy. It's $300CDN for a pump for an urq, but $200CDN
for a
CGT pump that he looked up by accident first.
Do any of the pumps interchange? Can I use my 4kq pump for testing?
Thanks.
Cheers,
Brady Moffatt]
