Don't bother.  K&Ns, especially cone filters, are virtually
worthless- and in fact, often cause more problems than they solve;
over-oil the filter and you can trash your MAF sensor, for example.
In some cars, a cone filter will end up sucking really hot air- the
944 turbo is a perfect example(it has a cold air intake from the
factory.)  Cone filters have drastically less filtration surface
compared to a stock air filter- and thus the filter pores have to be
a lot larger.  Translation: bigger crap gets through.

K&N filters are not economical(they cost a fortune.  Paper filters
for my 200q20v from the auto parts store cost about $4), they're not
a 'time saver'(since the K&N has to be cleaned), and of course
cleaning them requires a "cleaning kit" which costs even more $).

It's funny, but I've never seen a single dyno chart showing the
difference between a stock filter, drop-in K&N, and cone filter.
