Anti-theft alarm

Does it only do this from the driver's door, or from both doors? My car did
something similar to tell me it was time to quit messing around with
splices of the broken wires in the driver's door hinge area and time to get
on with replacing all the segments with new more flexible wires and joints
somewhat removed from the hinge area. Pull back the rubber boot in the
driver's door hinge and look for cracked insulation, broken wires, etc.
Usually the windows stop working first since they have a fatter ground
wire...

I lock the car, but when I unlock the car the alarm sounds. Very annoying,
I have had to resort to leaving the car unlocked until I can get this
problem fixed. Has anyone had this problem??
