Audi trailer towing

I would like to report that the '87 5kcdtq works fine for towing. I was
surprised that the Audi was able to tow a complete  '88 Jag XJ6 on a car
dolly without any problems from Kentucky to Buffalo NY. I was able to
maintain highway speeds except up the longer steeper hills.

The Jag outweighs the Audi, so I would NOT recommend doing this, but the
Audi survived, and I got the Jag back home :-)

BTW, I built my own tow hitch using a commercial receiver. There are no
deep dark secrets to trailer hitch manufacturing. The MIG welder is a
great help though!
