got one of the mounts on...
two of the tranny bolts part way in holding it for the night (with some jack stands too!)
i cant quite get the propshaft in... maybe a few more shoves... one mount is on...
the other mount is missing until i replace it... i figure it would have been in the way
anyways.
when i lowered the engine it was taking the tranny down with it so i put another
little jack under the tranny... now its soooo close to lining up...
it will have to wait till tomorrow though... i can barely walk... let alone type...
when i wake up in 12-16 hours :) and finish it i think im going to scream with joy.
its more frustrating than being 15 and trying to get laid for the first time...
hopefully when i get it in it will be as satisfying.
now only to combine both...
i wish michelle moutin (moutan?) was my age.... :) hehehehehehe

Luke, good work, I know how you feel =)
Yep, that downpipe is definitely in the way, unbolt that sucker, and with the motor in the engine bay you can lift the motor up a little and slide it in before you put it down on the mounts.

wow! im half way through putting my engine in... what a crazy job.
my friend "mr. punctual/reliable" never showed up to help me (i think our friendship
is coming to an end VERY soon) so ive been doing it all myself.
it took me like 3 hours to get the engine and crane out of the garage.
its all dirt floor garage onto a dirt road with big ruts where the rain drains.
plus im only 5'6" 110lbs (yes i eat lots).
ive got the engine hanging in the engine bay now but cant quite get it to fit... its
the f****ing downpipe... i think im going to unbolt it at the turbo and leave it dangling
in place tied up so i can get the engine in place tonight... i dont want to leave
that crane sitting on the side of the road.. its not exactly the cheapest hoist
to say the least.
wow.
what a day.
time to open the bottle of glenfiddich in the cupboard (only 12 year old :( )
well im just trying to vent some of my frustration by talking about it as
well as taking a break.
hopefully in a day or two i will be driving again...
