You can also just lay them in place until they seem "right".

You're putting MC/5kt fuel lines in a 90, right?  They're gonna be ugly
no matter what, since they are all too long.  If you look at some of the
older 4kqt conversion photos, you'll see what I mean.

Just get them so they aren't kinked or chafing.  Mostly I've seen them
sort of take an extra loop on their way to the head.

The only ways around this are 1. new UrQ fuel lines or 2. EFI conversion.
