[marketplace] ebay ads

While I'm at it:

Ebay ads, or any other type of "referral" ads are not allowed in the
Marketplace. I've stated my (I think rational) reasons for this
previously. Over the past few months, though, the frequency of ebay ads
has dropped dramatically for some reason. I attribute this to people
actually reading the guidelines. I looked for the first time in months,
and only TWO ebay ads were deleted.

I would invite list members to be my 'eyes in the sky', so to speak. If
you see a referral ad, ebay or otherwise, email the offender, and
*politely* point them at the guidelines and ask that they delete their
ad. Please, no gestapo techniques. Nine out of ten times, the poster
hasn't read the guidelines and has made an honest mistake. No need to
scare them or noodle-whip them.
