On a mildly-related topic -
As a movie theatre manager (a terrible-paying but oddly-satisfying job) we
used R12 and R134a in spray cans to freeze gum that was stuck to movie
theatre seats, carpet, etc.
I find it interesting to hear that 134A is toxic and also that both these
products were readily available to be discharged into the atmosphere when
such a heavy fine is attached to discharging it from a vehicle.
Of course, I have no idea if this stuff is still available, it was quite
some time ago that I last sprayed the stuff.
Merry Motoring
90 CQ 220k (A/C hasn't worked in 4 years)
70 100LS 2-dr 46k (dealer-installed 30 y/o A/C...wanna bet its broken?)
