Some of Thule's new mounts are compatible with the round Yakima bars.  We use a
Thule Frontier Box on our Yakima bars.  One of the new Thule bike mounts fit the
round bars.
    We're Yakima users and have had no problems with the mounts or rack.  I just
put one on my 91 200q and was easy to install.  I'm sure the Thule is similar.  I'd
look at the mounts you would be using and see which one you prefer.  There are
subtle differences between the two and feel is different.  I agree with Dave and
see what your friends are using.  If there is a Sports Rack (or Gear on the Go,
same company) in your area, check with them on the differences.
