While a lot of folks here look down on NASCAR- as Mike points out,
they help keep some tracks(like Watkins Glen) afloat. Watkins Glen
is probably second only to Mt. Tremblant as far as most club people
are concerned- if you've driven it, you'd understand why. I have yet
to meet a person who has done the 6-7 hour drive out there who didn't
walk away with a grin.

Watkins Glen:
-is a well-maintained, big, fast, up-down-all-around,
knock-your-socks-off track
-is staffed by friendly folks who love doing what they do and are
always a pleasure to deal with
-has very reasonable prices for clubs

Please support Watkins Glen- support(see below for the website poll
address) the NASCAR road course races.

>The NASCAR Winston Cup SCENE web site is conducting a poll regarding
>how many road courses the Winston Cup Series should run. This was
>also discussed on the Speed Channel Friday morning with many drivers
>wanting to eliminate road courses. Just like the Michael Andretti
>commercial they just want to turn left. Please support the choice
>Two road-course races is the right amount. Watkins Glen, which is
>one of the NASCAR road courses, derives a great percentage of its
>annual income from this event. Failure of NASCAR to continue at the
>Glen could greatly influence all driving club's ability to offer
>track events in the future. If you have influence at other web
>sites please encourage those car enthusiasts to support this choice
>also.
