from this new info, I would think that there is a supply wire in the door
that is not entirely broken , but severely frayed and it will handle enough
juice to light up the switches, but as soon as you try to move a window the
additional current heats up the frayed connection and it separates. Later
on it cools and makes a weak connection again.
You really have to look at the wires in the door jamb.
