slight update on dash update problems

so, i got the dimmer switch to work...

i thought i got the flashers to work, and they all do when the gauge
cluster is not plugged in (specifically the 12pin connector), but as
soon as i plug in that connector, the flasher relay goes crazy and
starts buzzing quite loudly... if i turn the hazards on, then the
noise goes away... the noise comes as soon as i turn the key to the
on position, and remains even if i turn the key on.  i also noticed
that it makes the tach go a little crazy, as well...

im trying to figure out what the hell could be going on, but it just
doesnt make any sense...

does anyone have a clue as to what's going on here?
