4kcsq cooling problems (somewhat long)

I noticed that an after market thermostat for my V8q did not have the brass
vent with the stainless steel check ball.  I promptly returned it and got
the OEM.  The vent also needs to be installed up.  Don't have a clue if this
applies to a 4K.
