Rear girlings

Hey guys,
  Doin the brakes this weekend and ran into some trouble. First off, the
parking brake cables were frozen and my rotors are now shot. I knew they were
froze up, but didn't have a place to work on it here at school in this
weather. I couldn't get the piston back in far enough to put the brakes on
either. I used a c-clamp and channel locks to get it in a ways, but not far
enough. I also tore the boot up in the process. What size allen key fits in
the piston? I also found the ball joint to be bad on that side. Should these
be replaced on both sides at the same time? Seeing that I am in need of new
rotors and pads (and maybe calipers) I'm going to go ahead and upgrade to the
vented setup if I can get a good donor. So, does anyone happen to have GOOD
calipers, carriers, rotors, and pads for the rear vented setup? I'm on a
college budget too. :)
