Odd Tire size help!

Richard:

Your comment about 'only has 100 hp' seems to indicate that you don't
feel that traction and road holding are important because of the low
power. I disagree strongly on this one. I have a diesel Jetta with only
75 hp, and traction and road holding are as important on this vehicle as
on my 165 hp Audi Quattro. Although it takes me a bit longer to get up
to speed in the Jetta :-) I drive both vehicles at about the same speed,
on the same roads in the same conditions. It is just as important that
I be able to stop or turn suddenly in the Jetta with it's 75 hp as in
the Audi. Except while passing, horsepower has no affect on accident
avoidance or sudden stopping. Good tires do!

Cheers
George
