Leaking gas

Hey there, newbie here. I am in need of some assistance. My 85 4000Q leaks =
gas, the top half of the tank, out the filler and onto the side of my car d=
uring normal driving conditions. Could it be the gas cap, it seems fine as =
well as the rubber gasket, or the filler necl/attatchment. Needless to say =
i now only fill up to little below half. No one on audiworld had ever heard=
 of this before so now i turn to this list. TIA.
