Glad its "fixed itself",  seemed like quite severe symptoms
for such an easy top off of fluids.

Although it didn't apply to your situation I did some further
thinking and remembered a "localized" symptom that exact to
yours except one wheel was affected:

Someone had excessive heat in the engine bay where the older
brake line (rubber or not I don't remember) was subjected to
heat which expanded the brake fluid in the line which:
You guessed it.............caused one wheel to drag where the
caliper clamped the rotor from the heated fluid pressure working
against that one wheel.

So the brake saga has ended without fanfare-it really was just too
low a fluid level causing air to get sucked into the MC.
