Brett, Remove the fill plug, and see if you can feel the fluid with
your finger. It'll be fairly obvious if there isn't enough in there.
You'll need a pump or some other way to add more fluid. I use what
looks for all the world like a HUGE hypodermic that's made for this
purpose. it probably holds close to a pint, and has about a foot and a
half long semi-flexible tube on the end. I don't know what it's called,
but it's made for the purpose, and readily available at auto parts
stores. I think mine cost me about $18. The second plug is used to
drain the last bit of fluid out of the rear of the case. If you're just
topping up, or if the fluid isn't totally burnt, you can probably
safely ignore it. Fill the fluid till it's at the level of the fill
hole, and be sure the car is level when you do this. Allow the fluid a
few minutes to settle out, as even synthetic is pretty thick at room
temp.
