Well I've replaced the tranny mount and engine movement has decreased, but
many of the same problems are still there. I have further isolated the rear
clunking to a worn mount which is directly above the rear differential.
This mount connects the diff to the frame. Does anyone have a part number
for that mount? Does anybody know where to get one? anyone with this
experience?
The car also suffers from an exhaust leak, really noticeable while in gear
and deccelerating or downshifting or over bumps. originally I thought it
was from a loose tranny mount causing excessive flex in the spring held
exhaust joint. Well i replaced the tranny mount and the spring bolts in the
exhaust with standard bolts for a secure connection. Still the leak. I
know that there is a mid-header joint, with a gasket that has 2 holes. Does
anyone have experience with it leaking there?
Thanks,
Mike Bond
