On my search for parts I have stumbled across a kg engine, loom, ecu,
intercooler et al for a reasonable price..... unfortunately it is one of the
2144cc motors, I guess it is an oil cooled turbo, only cis with no closed
loop, and I don't know what the deal is with knock sensors...
Therefore is it a good starting point?
I thought about swapping the head for my ng head, and swap out the cis for
my stock cis3. I think the cr on the kg is 8.8 which suits me because I
cannot see me going beyond the limits of cis(3) anytime soon where cr will
become an issue. If this does not seem worthwhile ill go back to getting a
set of suitable low cr pistons for my motor, as I have virtually everything
else in my garage.
Thanks all
