I pulled the rear center diff mount out this morning and doesn't look as bad
as i thought it would. The original bushing in the mount is asymetrical
both north-south and east-west. The new one is not, it would appear that in
the north-south direction the center is off-set. After reviewing it i think
that the larger side would go on top, where extra cushion is needed. The
wheels rotating forward would mean that the diff would try to rotate in the
oppposite direction, causing the rear of the diff to move downward, utilizing
the cushion on the top of the mount. Whew - maybe someone has a bentley and
has the quick answer. This is the same mounting system in the 4000's, with
rear diffs.
