Oops, forgot your original question.  I'm using Dunlop Sport W10's I got cheap on a closeout deal.  My most recent A4 wheels had P6000's on them.

well, i agree... but the A4 wheels i have with the 45 offset still needed a
spacer to clear the steer arm...
i'm wondering what the brand of tire you use is a little different dimension
width than the dunlop sp8000's i've tried?

They are 45mm offset.  Only the factory wheels, and an old set of MAS Oberons
I had have had this offset.  Remember, the replica wheels on ebay and other
places don't have the right offset to do this...
