I've never had a problem with A4 16" wheels and 205 tires that needed to be=
spaced, and I've had them on 2 type 44's, 3 sets of wheels and 4 different=
tires (including 8000e's.) Clearance is tight (like 4-5mm,) but I've neve=
r had evidence of rubbing. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, just never ex=
perienced it personally.

Clearance is slightly less with my new combo. I have done some unscientifi=
c testing (speed bumps w/extra weight in the trunk, hard cornering.) Inpsect=
ion for rubs found none in any of the suspect spots.

well, i agree... but the A4 wheels i have with the 45 offset still needed a
spacer to clear the steer arm...
i'm wondering what the brand of tire you use is a little different dimension
width than the dunlop sp8000's i've tried?

They are 45mm offset. Only the factory wheels, and an old set of MAS Obero=
ns
I had have had this offset. Remember, the replica wheels on ebay and other
places don't have the right offset to do this...
