Bad Voltage Regulator?

If it's the brushes, just to be safe, I'd get a new regulator. You
can go to TPC or any Worldpac site and they've got 'em. I'm not too
fond of the Bosch regulators, so I use the cheapy no name ones that
put out 0.8 volts more than the Bosch.

Or, you could look up Volvo voltage regulator. There'a a guy on the
web that sells adjustable voltage regulators that fit our cars. At a
very good price, too.

I modify my regulators with a .69 cent diode, so now I get 14.9 volts
with a Bosch regulator.

Anyhow, just for reliability, get the new regulator. Also, check the
small positive wire. An intermittant or dirty connection can cause
your symptoms. happened to me two months ago. Double check belt
tightness, too. BTDT.

Good luck
