Subframe R&R

I received my subframe from Chris at Force5, last Friday. The UPS man said
that this was the weirdest package
he ever had in his truck, all wrapped in cling wrap. I told him to be
careful with my Dinosaur bone and he looked puzzled.
Then I told him, while pointing at the '86 5KCSTQ, that this was a collar
bone for my Audiquattrosaurus :>))
I was very happily surprised that Chris had left the control arms and the
sway bar on.
Now I have it all totally degrimed and cleaned up to nice black shine.
Seeing it all together gave me the idea to replace the control arms, trans.
bushings, the subfr bushings, sway and the trans bushings, since I have all
these parts ready on my shelf..
Then I want to replace the whole thing as a unit, and it will look just like
Chris sent it, but only everything will be
new.
Then I will only have to raise the car on a lift, pull the wheels, brace
up the tranny, pop the ball joints and unbolt 6 bolts( on which have been
spraying penetrating oil) and remove the subframe with C arms, bushings and
sway bar.
Then with some help I will be able to lift the rebuilt one in place get all
the bolts started, hookup the ball joints and put on the wheels.
Now lower the car and tighten/torque all the bolts. Alignment. Then rebuild
the one that came off.
Am I thinking correctly here?.
Thanks, Martin Pot
