Subject: Need to follow my own adice more often

I've discovered that I really need to follow my own advice more often. As a
frequent poster on AudiWorld and VWVortex (General Audi forum), I see a lot
of people who are new to old school Audis. They all ask about the same
thing, why does my engine run rough and feel like sh_t? I always suggest a
full tuneup, consisting of plugs, cap, rotor, and plug wires Well, I really
need to take my own advice more often. I just completed the above
replacements and she purrs SO smooth, smoother than she ever has since I've
owned her. :)

I also installed a set of the new "green" UrQ strut mounts (857 412 323 B).
I can't say enough about them. No, I really don't see any drop, but the
claimed 1/4" isn't enough to notice anyway. But I can say that the car is
riding MUCH smoother. No more shimmey. Also, I thought I had a warped rotor,
as I would get steering wheel shake when braking. Guess what? new strut
mounts cured that too. It seems bad mounts can give about the same feeling
as warped rotors. So, if you think you have bad rotors, check you strut
mounts...

Good luck out there,
